The media might be focused on the final round of the Super XV this weekend, but Ned’s always more interested in the Rugby World Cup which kicks off in just 434 days.
In the last week two more teams have confirmed their places: Fiji take the fourth slot in Pool A, and Namibia have got the fifth spot in Pool C (alongside New Zealand).
There’s just one spot left to fill, the so-called Repechage qualifier in Pool A, and it comes down to four teams.
- Uruguay will play Hong Kong in Montevideo on 2 August, and Russia will play Zimbabwe in Krasnayorsk on the same day.
- The winners of each match will then play a home and away series in September and October to decide that final spot.
And then we’ll be able to get down to some serious analysis.
